DYLAN RIDER

Growing up with parents who were in band, music had always had a big impact in Dylan's life. Following in his fathers footsteps, Dylan started playing trumpet in 6th grade. What he didn't know at the time is how much that simple decision would impact the rest of his life. Dylan continued playing concert settings until he discovered his passion for marching band. Dylan fostered this passion with support from his parents to eventually march several years in drum corps.  This connected with Dylan and left a lifelong desire to continue his involvement in the activity.

 

Dylan is also an alumni member of the music service sorority, Tau Beta Sigma, as well as a former president of the East Texas Trumpet Guild. Dylan hopes to finish his degree in music education, and begin bringing his energy to a classroom in the near future.

Aside from music, Dylan is an avid card game, video game, musical theatre, and fishing enjoyer. He likes to spend time at home with his elderly cat named Ernie, as well as his two nephews Emerson and Noah.
